Interfaith in Mt. View - Shared Values iAmong Faiths
Join us for an interfaith panel consisting of Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim representatives to discuss the human and ethical values they share with one another. Through this discussion they will demonstrate that despite our differences, most religions promote a common set of values through their traditions.

Free Immigration Law Clinics - Jewish Family Services
JFS-SV and the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, (AILA) are offering free immigration law clinics to serve the needs of immigrants in the South Bay. Clients who come to this country as asylees or refugees (those who fled their home countries because of persecution) can receive help to complete green card and citizenship applications and fee waiver applications to ameliorate the costs of the application fees (totaling well over a thousand dollars.)

On October 25, USCIS announced that people receiving public benefits can no longer apply for a citizenship fee waiver after December 2nd. Your SSI, Medi-Cal, SNAP (food stamps), Federally-assisted housing, & CHIP will no longer be accepted as valid proof after December 2nd. The citizenship filing fee is $725. Also, please note that it is okay to receive public benefits and apply to become a citizen. The new rule about public benefits does not apply to citizenship applications. Come to our free workshop to learn more!

Remember to bring the following: -work permit -copy of your prior DACA application - 2 passport style pictures -Check or Money Order for $495 -if you have ever been arrested, your court certified disposition -Your most recent tax return (i.e. your 2018 taxes) *For eligible individuals, we are offering scholarship for the $495 renewal fee
Please keep in mind that all documents must be brought in order for SIREN to assist you.
