    The Santa Clara County Human Rights Commission in coordination with County Supervisor Dave Cortese’s office will be hosting a flag raising ceremony in honor of International Human Rights Day.
    Hear from some of your elected officials and celebrate with us as we raise the flag of the United Nations. Those in attendance will receive a complimentary custom-printed copy of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The flag raising ceremony will last about 30 minutes.     Santa Clara County residents are invited to participate in a community forum about a California law called the TRUTH Act and the public’s right to transparency regarding the access that local governments may provide to federal immigration agents.

    The  forum will be livestreamed on the County’s Board Agenda website​. Although the SCC government is hosting the meeting, no action will be taken on the matter. Translation in Spanish and Vietnamese will be available for those in attendance.

    Remember to bring the following: -work permit -copy of your prior DACA application - 2 passport style pictures -Check or Money Order for $495 -if you have ever been arrested, your court certified disposition -Your most recent tax return (i.e. your 2018 taxes) *For eligible individuals, we are offering scholarship for the $495 renewal fee

    Please keep in mind that all documents must be brought in order for SIREN to assist you.
