Join Senior Planet from AARP and National Literacy Project for our final session in the series. This session tackles the adjacent subject of bias in news coverage which also has the potential to mislead and misinform the public. At the same time, vague or unfounded perceptions of bias can cause people to dismiss credible reporting or, worse, institutional news media altogether. This session will help you think more clearly about what causes bias in reporting, what it looks like in coverage and what you can do when you encounter it in your news diet.
